Overview

BERMET welding automation systems were developed to boost efficiency in modern metal fabrication. Our range includes welding positioners, welding rotators, welding turntables, welding manipulators and robotic welding cells. These systems are the ideal solution for any company producing large steel structures, tanks, pipelines or series-produced welded components.

Why automate welding? Manual welding of large or repetitive workpieces makes it difficult to maintain consistent quality. Automation keeps the workpiece in the optimal position at all times: weld quality improves, productivity increases and the physical strain on the welder decreases. Correct positioning allows more welds to be made in the flat (PA) or fillet position, resulting in better penetration, a more consistent weld bead and higher welding speed.

Welding positioners: allow the workpiece to be rotated and tilted so that the welder or welding robot can always work in the optimal position. The machines are available with various load capacities, from smaller structures to workpieces weighing several tonnes — featuring continuous 360° rotation, hydraulic tilting, stepless speed control, remote control and inverter drive.

Welding rotators: these welding roller beds are used to rotate cylindrical workpieces — tanks, pipe sections, pressure vessels and silos. The driven and idler roller units provide smooth rotation, enabling long circumferential welds to be produced with high accuracy. Features include stepless rotation, high load capacity, self-adjusting PU or steel rollers, adjustable axle spacing, inverter drive, wired or wireless control, and suitability for robotic welding.

Robotic welding cells: complete automated production systems that include an industrial welding robot, positioner, safety system and intelligent control. Suitable for MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma and laser welding, series production, and applications requiring high repeat accuracy.

Why BERMET? BERMET does not just supply individual machines but complete welding automation solutions: positioners, rotators, manipulators and robotic cells work together in a coordinated manner, making the production process faster, safer and more repeatable. The robust mechanical design, modern drive technology and industrial controls ensure reliable operation over the long term, from small-batch production to large-scale automated manufacturing.
